Studio Series is a profile photography workshop by award winning photographer Christopher Owens.
The relaxed sessions are perfect for anyone looking to start, expand or renew thier profile imagery and personal brand.
The sessions are tailored to the clients specific needs and aim at creating a cache of visual assets to have at your fingertips at an accessible cost.
Be it a new website, a business development push or a simple social media update Studio Series will provide engaging images you can be proud of.
Before The Shoot
Consider the tone of your pictures.
When thinking of this take into account the intended audience and what you want to achieve. Are you establishing yourself as an authority in your field, increasing your social capital, driving business development or seeking the next employment opportunity?
How should they feel?
Upbeat? Personable? Polished? Spontaneous? Joyful? Reflective?
What is the intended use?
Do you need an image to put out to press and PR, website visuals, social media headshot, blog imagery?
Consider your outfits.
How do you want to present yourself? Does that marry with the tone of images you want to create? Do the outfits represent you? Stay clear of logos, clashing colours and if in doubt bring options!
Have you seen something you like?
Maybe there is a style you gravitate towards. Is there a shot on my website or one you've seen that you like?
Pinterest boards and screenshots can be useful so if you have something already in mind email it to me ahead of the shoot.
And if you just want me to do my thing, that’s cool too!
How does it work and what is included?
Sessions are broken up into hourly time slots throughout the day.
Packages begin with one hour slots but two hour sessions are also available.

Pattern is a digital editorial platform produced and creatively directed by photographer Christopher Owens.
Pattern is dedicated to telling the stories of modern working, exploring the intersection where work and life meet and how we find ways to balance the two.
The Pattern website has 3.4k monthly page views, 2k unique visitors per month and 29k impressions across its dedicated social channels.
The StudioSeries Q&A's are hosted indefinitely on Pattern and pushed out via social channels once a week with posts tailored exclusively to that weeks featured Q&A or feature interview.
The curated Q&A about your work and business alongside the images from your session form a unique and original piece of content which is shareable with your network.
TheStudioSeriesQ&A is an added value feature at no additional cost and with no obligation to participate.

Mayfield Studio
3rd Floor Curtis Mayfield House, Carliol Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6UF
Mayfield Studio has lift access. Changing rooms with mirrors, power points and clothes rails.
Travel
There are limited parking bays directly outside the studio but parking is available at Manors Car Park which has a staircase exit to Carliol Square from the 2nd and 3rd floors. Both operate a coin machine system and the PayByPhone app. The nearest Metro stations are Manors & Monument, the studio is also a 10 minute walk from Newcastle Central Station.
On The Day
If you can please arrive 10 minutes before your session is due to begin, there are sofas in a break out area just outside the lift in the unlikely event that the previous session is still concluding. Please notify in advance if there are any accessibility requirements for members of your party. You will be greeted on arrival by the studio manager or photographic assistant on the day if I’m unavailable.
If you arrive earlier than 10 minutes before your session start time please feel free to access the studio or grab a coffee at the highly reccomended Tiny Tiny Coffee Shop which is located on the corner of Carliol Square.
Mine’s an Americano with a splash of semi skimmed!
